Tekken 7 director again says Switch port is dependent on fan demand
During Kuro Kuro’s year-end Tekken drinking party, series producer and director Katsuhiro Harada was asked about bringing the latest entry to Switch. Harada indicated once again that Tekken 7 on Nintendo’s console is dependent on fan demand, so let them know if you’re interested. Of course, that’s easier said than done, and some Switch owners have started to become disappointed that releasing a game on the system requires them to be vocal.
Harada also said something similar a year ago. He suggested at the time that technical factors come into play regarding a port, and the team had yet to do much research in possibly bringing Tekken 7 over to Switch. Harada was also unsure just how much interest there was in the fighter appearing on Nintendo’s platform.

Warframe Switch update out now – motion control features / enhancements, performance improvements, more
Digital Extremes and Panic Button have readied a new update for the Switch version of Warframe. It includes motion control features and enhancements, stabilization and performance improvements, better load times for Cetus, and more.
The full patch notes are as follows:
Changes:
- Volumetric Lighting can now be toggled on the Switch for better performance!
- Motion Controls can now be used on the loading screen to fly your Landing Craft!
- Motion Controls can now be used in ‘Decorate’ mode!
- Added in a re-center option when using motion controls. Not bound by default.
- Improved load times when going from Cetus to the Plains and back again
Fixes:
- Fixed an issue with Ambient Occlusion not being properly grayed out and remaining toggelable when playing undocked
- Fixed crashes in Cetus and the Plains of Eidolon when playing in Chinese and other non-English languages.
- Fixed numerous crashes.
- Fixed issues with audio of Titania’s Razorwing and Excalibur’s Exalted Blade.
- Fixed an issue where motion controls would not be enabled when switching from docked to undocked gameplay
- Fixed an issue where purchasing the Fluctus in the Market also rewarded a dev-only erroneous weapon.
- Fixed the “Mask of the Revenant’ Quest Key being unobtainable.
Controller Fixes:
We have improved controller responsiveness in a number of ways!We increased controller responsivity in a number of ways:One major issue addressed in this patch is the fixing of an issue where almost 50% controller input was required before a hip-fire camera manipulation could be executed. We’ve decreased coded deadzones to allow for more refined, precise aiming and removed the inherited velocity when shifting directions. Players should now notice an immediate falloff in camera movement once input is no longer applied to the control sticks.Additionally, we have added a number of mathematical improvements regarding the ramp and acceleration curves used to interpolate control stick input. This should make the camera manipulations feel much smoother and allow for a closer approximation of circular movement, compared to the very ‘square’ like motions we had previously. We’ve also increased the amount of vertical movement seen when manipulating the control stick to reduce the amount of asymmetry between it and horizontal movement. There is still a bias towards the horizontal plane, but moving the camera up/down should not feel so drastically different when now compared to left/right movement.

Switch Fastest-Selling System This Generation in the US, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Sells 3M Units in 11 Days - News
Nintendo announced the Nintendo Switch is the fastest-selling system in the US this generation with more than 8.7 million units sold through the end of November 2018, according to NPD. It took the system 21 months to reach the figure.
Nintendo is also the best-selling software publisher in the US in 2018 through November. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has sold over three million units in 11 days, according to Nintendo’s internal sales data.
"We are thrilled to see such a strong reaction from consumers in the second holiday season for Nintendo Switch," said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "We’re looking forward to delivering more excitement and smiles to our fans in the coming year and beyond."
Here is data from Nintendo of America with sales specific to the US:
- Nintendo hardware unit and dollar sales for 2018 are at their highest annual totals since 2011.
- Nintendo eShop sales have grown 105 percent over 2017.
- Evergreen Nintendo Switch games have set new milestones, with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe selling over four million and five million units, respectively. Super Mario Odyssey has sold over 4.7 million units.

LEAK: New Nintendo Switch Revision Coming in 2019 With Increased Internal Storage
Gaming INTEL has received exclusive information from a source whom wishes to remain anonymous. The information we’ve received suggests that a new Nintendo Switch Revision is coming in 2019. In addition, a major feature within the upcoming version is increased internal storage. Nintendo has prioritised this due to the increase of game purchases and digital downloads from the eShop.
New Nintendo Switch Revision Coming in 2019
The message we have received is as follows:
“I’VE JUST GOTTEN WORD THAT A NINTENDO SWITCH REVISION IS RELEASING NEXT YEAR. IT WILL HAVE AN INCREASED INTERNAL STORAGE. NINTENDO HAS MADE THIS A PRIORITY DUE TO THE INCREASE OF DIGITAL DOWNLOADS AND GAME PURCHASES FROM THE ESHOP.”
In addition, our source also mentioned:
“RIGHT NOW I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT IF THIS 2019 NINTENDO SWITCH REVISION IS A NINTENDO SWITCH PRO TYPE DEVICE OR A MINOR UPGRADE DEVICE LIKE THE NEW NINTENDO 3DS.”
The upcoming console is expected to feature a large variety of improvements. In terms of display, the current Switch is usually known for featuring lower-end technologies. The new Nintendo Switch revision will more than likely have an updated display, which will allow the image to appear significantly more bright, and energy-efficient. Furthermore, there is a strong possibility that this will feature a prolonged lifecycle, as teased by Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima back in January.
Regarding the release date of a new Nintendo Switch revision, fans could be looking at anytime in 2019. As of now, the second half is looking like the most likely option. This would allow time for the current Switch to develop and increase its number of sales, amongst growing other aspects of the beloved console. It appears the current version is around the 20 million mark for hardware unit sales, in which could easily be increased with Christmas shopping.
By no means has the information above been officially confirmed by Nintendo themselves. However, Gaming INTEL can confirm that we’ve received this from a credible source. In addition, we’ve also cross-checked this with several other sources within our team.

Ryujinx can now load Super Smash Bros Ultimate which was released yesterday
Ryujinx now loading SSBU!
Recently, Nintendo Switch emulation has been progressing at a very fast pace with Yuzu already emulating Pokemon Let’s Go at semi-playable speeds. Now, the people behind Ryujinx, Yuzu’s competitor, have decided to let us know that the emulator is still alive and well after 2 months without giving any updates on Twitter.
This announcement comes in the form of a tweet that shows Super Smash Bros Ultimate, a Switch game released just yesterday, booting to the main menu in a development build of Ryujinx. Seeing SSBU running on a Switch emulator already is pretty promising but no word has been given about whether the title gets in-game or not.
It’s also been confirmed that Yuzu currently can’t boot SSBU but that may soon change given the rapid pace of development on that emulator.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate version 1.1.0 seems to add a few new Spirits
As we heard last night, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate version 1.1.0 is already available. Those who pre-loaded the game from the eShop can download the update, and those who managed to secure it early from certain retailers can probably access it as well.
Fans have already dug through the patch’s files to see if there’s anything noteworthy. There is one thing, but it’s a bit on the small side. It seems that a few more Spirits have been added.
The list is as follows:
– Partner Pikachu (previously confirmed)
– Partner Eevee (previously confirmed)
– Dice (apparently from Super Mario Party)
– Golden Mushroom (apparently from Super Mario Party)
– River Survival (apparently from Super Mario Party)

Nintendo has yet to publish official patch notes for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate version 1.1.0. Hopefully we’ll have them by Friday.

Fan turns Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai into an amiibo
Fans have made all sorts of their own amiibo since Nintendo launched the figure line a few years ago. But how about one based on Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai?
Sean Hicks originally created 2D artwork for Sakurai’s pose, which was turned into 3D by artist George Crudo. Crudo then had it 3D-printed and painted.
We have a look at the Sakurai amiibo above. Here’s another shot showing off a size comparison with other figures:

Treasure shows interest in bringing Radiant Silvergun to Switch
Earlier this year, Treasure worked with Nicalis to bring Ikaruga to Switch. Could Radiant Silvergun be the next shoot ’em up from the studio to make its way over?
A couple of weeks ago, Treasure responded to a fan on Twitter asking about Radiant Silvergun on Switch. Here’s what was said:
The English comment isn’t the most understandable here, but from what we can gather, it sounds like Treasure wanted to release Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga on Switch around the same time, but that didn’t end up happening. While they’d still like to make it happen, they’re not making any promises. Let’s see what happens and hope Treasure is able to follow through in the end.
Rumor: German retailer lists Assassin’s Creed Compilation for Switch
German retailer MediaMarkt has listed Assassin’s Creed Compilation for Switch as well as other platforms. The page includes a tentative March 29 release date. No further information is provided, including which titles would potentially be included.
Unlike retailers that have a reputation for accuracy such as Amazon or GameFly, we can’t be certain that the Assassin’s Creed Compilation listing is spot on. For now, we advise taking it with a grain of salt. If Ubisoft makes any announcements in the future, we’ll be sure to let you know.
